He questioned the 50 Dollar bill they gave him at the register and they began to curse him out. One of the females then slapped him and then they both jumped over the counter to attack him. He ran in the back and came back with a metal bar and proceeded to beat both of them.

24-year-old Denise Darbeau being beaten by a McDonald's cashier Rayon McIntosh of Greenwich Village New York she was with a friend when she got into an argument with Mickey D's employee, an ex-con who was working the cash register.

However, her mother has come forward to not only give a saddening update, but also call into question McDonalds' employing standards and practices. She told the press:
"[Denise] has memory loss. She's been heavily sedated. The doctors say it's too early to tell ... Our concern is the background checks they do at McDonald's," the mother said of McIntosh's employment. I believe in second chances. But maybe they should not put people with violent backgrounds dealing with customers. My daughter is just your average 24-year-old. She's fun-loving and full of life. We just want our daughter back the way she was. We don't know if she will recover. We are just praying for her."
