Carl did a good job in one of his vlogs explaining what L1 and L2 meant. DonG did a decent job too. I asked Ella (via commenting under her vlog) to ask linguistics she knows of exactly what L1 means.
I'm very interested in seeing Deaf children master ASL and English very well.
