I agree, there are better books written about her life. I've read exerpts of Mohan Deep's book and it just seems...trashy. Plus, he pretty much called Meena Kumari a nympho when he wrote about her. I feel like if an author does not respect the figures he writes about his writing is no good. I also don't believe all his stories about her many affairs. And if u go to history Peshawar was newly area to india because of the durrand agreement to india, and all of the majority of peshawar were afghans. But to be frank, us pathans/pashtuns do not like to be indian since india is not our homeland Afghanistan is our homeland. And sadly there is not such thing as indian pathans, they are refugees or because of the durrand agreement.

The refugees are those Afghans who have come to India after the Soviet Invasion. ppl from NWFP and Afghanistan used to migrate to India prior to 1947 and have been assimilated henceforth. she was one of those Pathans. Madhubala was born in Delhi tho. on February 14, 1933. and Indian Pathans dont like to be Indians? tell that to any Indian Pathan and then you can hear their replies.
