I was about to lose my fucking shit over what a state this all is- Then I realised, as a Westerner, I lump nearly all asian traditions into the same big pot anyway, so I guess it's expected that they can't distinguish between Irish and Scottish or English or German or Italian or what have you.

Yeah this band showed up to the Japan HIghland Games a few years back. Our band universally agrees that they sound terrible as we pracitice hard every monh.

I know you posted that 10 months ago but in America they have no idea either and have Highland pipers and drummers playing tunes like scotland the Brave and Highland cathedral as well as Caledonia and try to pass it off as being Irish sorry Oirish too at St Patricks day.
