Same-sex marriage is not an issues of unequal rights. As far as marriage is concerned, gays and straights have the same marital rights.

Both gays and straights cannot marry a person of the same sex, but both can marry a person of the oppostie sex.

It's the exact same rights.

People should be granted CIVIL rights despite what everyone else thinks. Interracial marriage was made legal because the federal government had to weigh in, opposing the majority!
