I heard that creamed soups were taken from the side, but clear broths were taken more toward the tip of the spoon. No?

I'm guessing then that formal dining soup never has meat or vegetables in it? Because it would be impossible to drink your soup from the side of the spoon if it has chunks in it. I've tried. The chunks just stick to the spoon and the liquid runs around it and gets everywhere. >.>
