Half a million views! Thank you guys!. I first heard this song back in 7th grade around 2005.The good old LimeWire days. I randomly downloaded this song and it was the first blues jazz song that I ever listened to. I was amazed by Coltrane's sax and Tyner's piano, from there on i got into miles, thelonious, bill evans and the other greats of blues and jazz. When i first heard this i knew i was missing out on an amazing genre of music Keep spreading the good music!

I have basically the same history as yours on Jazz, but started like 5 years later. Back in 05 i was an hardcore Death Metal kid. I was still creeping my peers in middle school.

I picked up my upright soon as i heard this the first time, brilliant R 3-5-3, and even better is that after the main riter, it´s pure improv on the rhythm part with makes it so much more fun!! and it shows the downright skill of these musicians. A real delish´ and thanks for sharing rafiki305

I was kidding about that one, lol :) Anyway, this should have much more listeners than it has now.

Its so beautiful, and, yet, John and McCoy never venture outside of Pure Minor. Simply Brilliant.

considering my introducing listening to Jazz was pursuit of a sample from J-Dilla joint 'life'..

I did not know that. But, hey, look at it this way: maybe some ppl get interested and decide check out Coltrane's universe, original recordings after listening to that cover and get blown away by his music? who knows.
