Sandwich Street Home Invasion

FINAL UPDATE FROM WINDSOR POLICE:

At 4:30 on June 11th, 2009, officers responded to a report of a home invasion at an apartment in the 300 block of Chippawa Street. Upon arrival, police found a man bleeding from a laceration to his head outside the apartment building. He informed officers that he and his wife had returned to their apartment from a walk to find two men standing in the hallway of the building. One of the two suspects pulled out a handgun and struck the man in the head with it and demanded money. They then fled the building empty handed and got into a red vehicle. Members of the Tactical unit stopped the suspect vehicle on Millen at Huron Church Roads and arrested two suspects. No handgun was found.
The victim who was assaulted was transported to the hospital and treated for a laceration and released.
