On Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, President Barack Obama addressed the 15th annual Human Rights Campaign national dinner. In addition to touting the administration's accomplishments -- like passage of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act and repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law, Obama pushed for repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act and the passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
