Skipping the Last Spartan and Kraken battles? Part 1

Would it not be quicker to do a series of high jumps (infinite jumps) rather than get the pillar, or am I missing something?

Yeah, but this was done before the infinite jump discovery.

I prefer using the Hammer version for the bigger jumps *it is easier to catch the wall side with it*

I thought that the door into that room with the pillar closed after you entered it, so... then you still couldn't go back. Or am I wrong?

I see what happened. Silly me..I spaced out between 0:29 and 0:45. You were trying to go about it withou activating the Hades Fiend spawns. That is where you differed from what I did.
