A work train consist out of 4 redbirds (R33 cars) and one flatbed car passes northbound through Pacific St on the evening of June 9, 2008.
Note how the ends of lead car 9330 are painted yellow while the rest of the cars are pure red. Car numbers in passing order: 9330, flatbed car, 8834, 8835, 9331. Note what happened to the windows of 8834/8835.

  • yes, but BMT/IND trains do not fit in IRT

  • why take out all the windows?

  • I think that's 2 R33WFs and 2 R33s.

  • Damn, all they they needed was about 3 more cars, fill in the others with their missing windows and you would have one complete train that's ready to rock and roll again for passenger service...if only that were true....I miss all these 1960's era trains man..like a an old friend you have to say good bye to.
