"This world is not my home" is a gospel number and has been around about 100 years. Evidently it started out as part of the black gospel tradition. It was recorded in 1924 by Stovepipe No 1 (Sam Jones )under the title "Lord Don't You Know, I Have No Friend Like You." It quickly crossed over into country music and was recorded by The Carter Family in 1931, J.E. Mainer's Mountainers in 1935, and the Monroe Brothers in 1936. Since then it has become a standard in bluegrass, country, and southern gospel.

In my record you can hear 3 singing tracks, 3 ukuleles (Brüko concert in GCEA tuning; Brüko N°3 in A D Fis H tuning, Banjolele John Grey "Ivory Queen", 1 acoustic guitar Aria Elecord, 1 bass (Jazz bass copy) and 1 mandolin (Johnson).
Thank you for watching.

  • Klasse, Bernd!

Der Bass klingt fast wie ein Waschzuber-Bass. Das passt gut.
