ADOPTED! Ziggy (Kids-N-K9s December 2009)

Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (5 more dogs available, videos coming soon) - Ziggy is a fantastic little guy who has grown up at the shelter, lost in a shuffle of other black dogs. Take one look at his eyes in this video, though, and you will know this guy is special. Not only is he gorgeous with his jet black coat and brown brindle stripes on his legs, he has so much heart, such a great personality, and is so very, very smart. He is dying to please and learns new things in an instant. Ziggy is somewhere between 10-12 months old and is likely a Border Collie mix. He still has plenty of puppy playfulness and enthusiasm, but he also has amazing focus and is absolutely brilliant.

Ziggy loves people and would probably be great with kids because he has such a great and loving personality. He also gets along well with other dogs. Ziggy would be happy to have another doggie companion to run and play with but would also be fine being an only dog and being someone's best friend to hit the trails together!

Ziggy likes to run and play and would be happiest in a house with a fenced yard. He would like an active family with either another dog to play with, someone who likes to play fetch, or a family that likes to take walks. He loves to be around his people and would definitely be happiest as an indoor dog. Even though he is still young and playful, he is not hyper. He can mellow out, relax, and just be content to be around his people.

This is truly a special boy. He will just stare adoringly at his handler waiting for him to tell him what he wants him to do next. He has the most beautiful eyes and is an absolute sweetheart. He is a funny guy and will make you laugh. He has a passion for life that will bring a smile to your face every day!

Ziggys adoption fee is $25 and that includes shots, a heartworm test (hes negative), and a microchip. Ziggy can go home at or after the Kids-N-K9s graduation on December 16.

Stats: 10-12 months old, Border Collie mix?, neutered male, 39 pounds, brought to shelter on 8/24/09 as a stray
