Phil Wickham - "Desire" Live

He's not hitting the strum that hard... he's just playing it with passion... plus its the only instrument he's using...solo. I'm sure he knows what hes doing plus strumming will not hurt the guitar....its the strings and musicians change strings very often. Great song!!!

Poor guitar... he is a hard strummer :O

heaven forbid he hit his strings a little hard... he only has one of the most phenominal voices out there and leads with genuine passion. some of the best solo guys in the business hit hard... but that doesn't make them poor musicians. check his other stuff when he has a band behind him and he doesn't hit as hard. It's largely intentional. And it works wonderfully.

This is the song that introduced me to Phil and till this day is still my Favorite song from him.
