He's not hitting the strum that hard... he's just playing it with passion... plus its the only instrument he's using...solo. I'm sure he knows what hes doing plus strumming will not hurt the guitar....its the strings and musicians change strings very often. Great song!!!

I'd like to comment that I flew out to this concert from Boise-- and now that I have the download, you can hear a guy making bird sounds when the music and singing gets quiet. Also, there is a guy who is trying very hard to sound like PWick. Make a joyful noise, guy. :D
