  • i was wondering, what the size/weight of the ball of clay that you normally work with??

  • well bottles range from 1.5 lbs to 4 normally but I find myself throwing 12-15s for the wood firing.

  • ive tried to collar in the top of most of my pots but i can never get close enough. advice?

  • try collaring lower. to high and there isn;t enough clay to make it to the center.

  • hey tim, great vids, I enjoy them a lot....i was wondering if you have ever thrown a sink head before and what is your take on how difficult it may be? thanks

  • well its all in the measuring. if you cannot throw a 15 pound bowl yet I wouldn't go after a sink yet. it may take less clay but more control.
