I wish I could throw when my clay has that much wobble, but I end up wrecking it... But I just started throwing, so I'll get better

My friend and teacher told me about your video's and the Flexible metal tool of death, I LOVE THAT! ive ripped a couple of really fine pieces with that tool and had to stuck so hard but its so necessary... Lovely bottle, I just learned/ how to figure out how to throw these bottles the other day, thanks for the tips with the top, thats where i always run into trouble

i was wondering, what the size/weight of the ball of clay that you normally work with??

well bottles range from 1.5 lbs to 4 normally but I find myself throwing 12-15s for the wood firing.

ive tried to collar in the top of most of my pots but i can never get close enough. advice?

try collaring lower. to high and there isn;t enough clay to make it to the center.

hey tim, great vids, I enjoy them a lot....i was wondering if you have ever thrown a sink head before and what is your take on how difficult it may be? thanks

well its all in the measuring. if you cannot throw a 15 pound bowl yet I wouldn't go after a sink yet. it may take less clay but more control.
