@bowler8 you're STILL an idiot...the difficulty of a college does NOT depend on how long their VACATIONS are...you're as unreal as you say the columbia guy is...stop being a jackass and try to see through you're own personal discrimination of colleges with long holidays...you have no right to talk of how hard these colleges are unless you actually attend them and i doubt any intellectual college would accept your bias opinions
-
oo...your used streets smarts in the personal statement....that was probably the cut...but hey...everything happens for a reason...and you probably already graduated already and going to grad school....same age...class of 2010 (in college) 2006 high school..
-
that guy is so unreal, there is no way in hell will he get to Columbia. For one he is too full of himself and very easily destracted...it shows in his test scores
-
The colleges want the common application essay and also the colleges own supplement essay...they tend to want different essays...so its a lot of writing
-
we have a friend who got into Dartmouth, she did 2 extra curriculars, no challenging classes, no SAT's...is now taking 3 classes that are as challenging as AP classes...hardly a challenging college, they are always on holiday
-
@Siagos but a good personality :)
-
@Alex3713 Thats probably why you got in. They want something fun, that stands out and shows diversity. Heck, a guy who got accepted to Harvard wrote about Shoes. How he couldn't possibly go anywhere without them. And a girl wrote an essay about Corn.
-
@usrowing08 I thought the same. Especially the whole "Stree smarts" stuff. I think that as High school students who take themselves seriously enough to apply to an Iivy League, they should probably be able to expand upon their vocabulary.

rutgers playing it safe?? i wanna go to rutgers as prority

@futuredoc2020 Well, I got in and I'm attending there right now...
lol, "I was voted most flirtatious."
I'm sure that's what they're looking for.

If you use the word "street smarts" in a college application you probably shouldnt be applying.
