sistam72-I appreciate your response, but the last I checked: it was John McCain that Al Qaeda endorsed. Fortunately though, unlike you- I don't judge presidential candidates based on that - it's too bad you do.

It's fine with me go ahead and vote McCain - It's your right. He's a good guy and would make a great president under different circumstances.

Right now though, I just don't vibe with his policies or those of his creationist, apocalyptic whacko of a running mate. And that's MY right.

Obama has blood on his hands when he went to Kenya to support dictator Odinga in 2006. Odinga lost election Dec 2007 and his supporters started to burn people´s home down, killing 600 people, burning alive 50 women and children inside a church. Obama is guilty for it. Ah I see what you're saying. And yeah, the Military budget is a little fucked up and needs reform. I also look forward to whoever wins (probably Obama) working with other in some high cabinet position -- either McCain with DoD, VA, or Homeland Security or Obama with Department of Energy, Labor, or State. Idk, just my thoughts.

saifoda - I'm sorry, I was not referring to number of troops, I was referring to budget. Our budget doesn't need to be as big as it is. What the problem is all the bullshit programs the Military is funding for stuff that doesn't work all thanks to the bureaucracy that has been built up over 5 decades. I do think McCain has some good ideas and a solid record for reforming the Military budget. I am looking forward for Obama to reach out to McCain and work with him on this issue.

the cool thing about our country though is the 2nd amendment.  We've got more firearms owned by civilians than most countries in the world, except for several in Africa. Half of the machine guns in the United States are privately owned. Any invading force would be so fucked simply because there are armed people everywhere it's just not even funny. Actually, that is pretty funny lol.

Agreed that we need more Police and Border Patrol -- and we need to actually be able to ENFORE THE LAW when it comes to the border, idk about TSA though -- seem to be more than necessary, but I don't know anything about it. Also, if I may, the US Military is strong, but it is most definitely not the world's largest. Including Active, Reserve, and para-military (i.e. blackwater, combatant contractors, etc...) our Military totals just under 4 million individuals. 2nd largest, next to china.
