Eagle takes down deer ? Well they can and do. Usually Golden Eagles but I "suspect" this sea eagle is carrying carrion deer back to its young on the nest..
These are unbelievable sights on Mull including a sea eagle carrying a young deer! what can I say! see for yourself.Mull is a fantastastic place to visit if you like birds and wildlife. I have stayed a couple of times now down near bunnesan. Great place to watch otters :).oh, and a wonderful place to stay. I have several short films of Mull and if you have enjoyed this one ( I hope you have) I have made one where I put the camera on a remote control glider and filmed the wildlife from in the air. Try out Skomer Island in may or June. There are puffins everywhere. I will be doing a puffin film this year.

Good thinking...I'm quite close to skomer and was planning a trip in the spring :) No I'm not a proffesional, which I was, I'm a nurse and make videos on my days off. I'd love to be able to put all my energy into it but work gets in the way. Thats why I sometimes go a while without putting a new wildlife film up. I've decided its better to put a really good one up once a month than a so-so one every week, although the latter is probably better for you youtube views but hey ho :)

Continued post 4 .brought back so many happy memories, I felt as if I was walking around the island again. Thank you Alex. Angels do come in many disguises, as does your faithful hound in the dawn chorus clip ! He's gorgeous too.Was feeling really low and this helped tremendously.Saw Oyster catchers and lapwings today at the Sandwich Bird Observatory near Deal.Worth a visit.There'll be loads of chicks here in about a month I expect and the hide has just been extended. Well thank you :) Lovely that you enjoyed watching it. I adore visiting Mull and this year I fixed a camera onto a small remote control glider to see what the eagles see! Wow they get quite a view. Glad you like the narration etc I try to improve as I go along..

This is good stuff. He's taken the time to be at places and take his camera to places most people don't or can't go. I'm going to look at your other stuff, too, Alex. The filming is good. The subjects and shots are good. And Alex doesn't bite your head off as he talks. It's very enjoyable to listen to this man narrating his own movies. And there's no stupid music to listen to. Continued , last message. I ended with this footage from Mull tonight, though almost time for the dawm chorus again, but the biggest treat of all was when you showed Iona which means so much to me. I used to go there every year with a special group of friends for about 5 years in a row until 1998 so know the layout of the Island like the back of my hand in a general kind of way. I returned 10 years later in 2008 on my own ,a different but still very special experience. read on --------
