Think about it...if Azizi shouldn't have been playing for Iran then black players shouldn't be playing for european countries. Should we create teams by skintone or eye colour instead of by country? We're all human. It's a beautiful game, let's keep it that way. Peace

Where ever we born we do not forget our nation or language. We will have the citizenship of other countries and will respect all law and social life of that country still we will be Hazara and love the Art and culture of Hazara.

Khodad Azizi he was born in Mashhad in Iran, Tehran. He is Persian not Afghan or other nation. Just he looks like Asian why he is playing for Team melli Iran.

@25hamid  My friend , i knw he was born in Iran an of course he is not Afghan because afghan is something that was created after Abdur Rahman Khan. But the chinese looking people in Machad are the hazara people that escaped from Hazarajat 200 years ago , so of course he is Hazara , but now these people dont see themself as hazara because at that time , beeing hazara was a shame , so they began to consider themselves as Iranian , we also have hazaras in Quetta, that is exactly the same.

Iranian goverment will not give any Irans Indentification for Afghans refuagees, maybe he is born in Iran.

Without Iranian identity you cannot play in A Clup,...I am Hazara, in my oponion, he is not Hazara, he`s from Iran-Mashad.He`s just looks like Hazara.if you go to Mashad you will many many person like Khodadad

I think, whoever knows his history knows that Khodadad Azizi is Hazara. Hazaras escaped from Hazaristan when Abdur Rahman Khan killed a lot of them in that area. But what is sure is that if someone doesnt admit from where he is and want to be iranian then i dont really need him to be hazara. Anyway i peronally think that we Persian people are all the same. I mean if England had no influence on that area of the world. We would all be united as a big persian country.
