The best thing to do just after peeling and coring it is to wash the whole thing down with course salt. It brings out the sweetness and allows the pineapple to be extra juicy!

My dog, Oliver, gets the core. He loves it. I just make sure he is somewhere that it won't be a huge mess.

Oh I'll see if Mr. Banjo likes it. He likes apples and celery. Daisy, not so much into the fruits and veg. ;)

I am totally going to try growing a pineapple. I had no idea! I have heard that you should lay pineapples down when they are ripening so the juices distribute more evenly... though they look cooler on your counter sitting up ;) Thanks, Hilah! xo

A neat trick I learned years ago from my Hawaiian friend. Is if you soak your whole fresh pineapple in 2% milk overnight. The next morning you can peel the skin off just like a banana easily with just two fingers. No cutting necessary! ---
- O and BTW Hilah, you're right about the green tops growing another pineapple. I haven't bought a pineapple at the grocery store in about 7 years. Kitchen-grown pineapples just always taste sweeter to me than the farm-raised ones.

Hi Hilah! Thanks for the instructions :D I really don't know if the first part of this is true but my mum rubs salt on the pineapple after she skins it so it doesn't 'sting' our lips as much BUTTTT rubbing a little salt defo makes the pineapple taste sweeter ! :D thanks again Hilah!

I remember I use to be scared of pineapples whn I was a kid. I thought the prickly part would hurt me.
