Raining INSIDE Brand New Constructed US$1.93 Billion (IGI) Airport- New Delhi, India

This is the nearly BRAND NEW BUILT Airport of New Delhi ( Indira Gandhi International Airport) . New Delhi Airport handles over 25 million passengers annually, and the newest wing of the airport, (Costing US$ 1.93 Billion) just gets demolished here as a tornado and bad weather hits.
We were just on a family trip (End of August 2009) and were heading out of New Delhi, and as we were about to check in our luggage, I saw a huge black airport side panel fly onto the class roof. I took my camera out and started taping as everyone was surprisingly NOT even panicking. Then all of a sudden, holes were blown into the roof (newly redone just 2 years ago) as more and more debris fell onto the roof and the heavy rain started falling right through the roof of the New Delhi Airport and onto all of us! As you can see in the video, officials at the airport do a poor job at handling the situation. Nearly all of the army men and security were gazing at the roof, anticipating it to fall rather than clearing the passengers from the danger. Everything became so unorganized in a matter of minutes, and all the employees at the airport did was cover up their Airline Company's Machines so they wouldn't be damaged. There was puddles of water all over the airport, water pouring onto our heads, unimaginable lines building up due to confusion at airline booths, and people slipping all over the place. This newly built International airport had absolutely no game/rescue plan as to how to move the passengers to a safe area or how to evacuate. Everyone sort of did as they pleased. The only army men working at the airport at the time were the ones that wouldn't let any single passenger enter or leave the airport
. It was a crazy and unforgettable time to be traveling at an airport. A once in a lifetime experience. Although it was life threatening and I kept taping the airport being torn apart, the big pieces of the airport roof that ripped off didn't fall on anyone, at least on the inside.

There is part 2 of this video...I had to put this tape away quickly just incase the army men would come and take my tape from me if they didn't want video evidence or their extremely laid back reaction to the situation when so many people were in danger inside the New Delhi airport. I will be posting that sooon, but this video contains most of the physical damages to the nearly Brand New IGI New Delhi Airport.

my brother went to delhi recently through the much hyped T-3. He says that there is nothing extra-ordinary about the building. All his baggage was drenched in rain water as the tunnel leading to the taxi area was water logged.
