General Xu approaches the city gate, unaware that it is the ambush site set up by Prime Minister Qin. Lady Quan rushes to warn him of the imminent danger to his life. He is not convinced that there is the danger that she talks about. In the ensueing fight, he is wounded. Lady Guan rushes to rescue him.

National Grade I Performer 刘小丽 as Lady Guan, and young laosheng 黄眏伟 as General Xu. The GuangDong Province Teochew Opera Academy First Company 广东潮剧院一团, performing on 16th Dec 2011 at the Kreta Ayer Peoples' Theatre, Singapore. This was the final night of their 7-day opera season here.
