I just saw another review of this rig. It looks like its ok. The reviewer tuned it stock and got about 25 to 30 watts pep just tuning it out of the box. Thats pretty decent id say!

@paraglidermx I guess we just have to get used to it or find another hobby because this is the trend now. Kinda like the changeover from tube to transistor rigs...

@paraglidermx Yeah if you get inside and hack it over! I had an RCI 2970 N2 thats all SMD and it was one of the BEST 10 meter rigs i ever owned! I regret selling it....

I prefer uniden radios over cobra I just hope the radio will be better or up to par with older grants.
