No pensaba colgar este vídeo, ya que ni siquiera lo he montado yo, pero al buscar "Elric" en Youtube, y encontrarme sólo con espantapájaros androginos de series de Anime me he decidido.

Aquí sólo hay un Elric, el Emperador de Melniboné, Campeón Eterno que blande Portadora de Tormentas. ¿Os queda claro, otakus?

Además, el vídeo está montado con una grandiosa canción de los Blue Oyster Cult, Veteran of Psychic Wars... ¿qué más se puede pedir?

Moorcock was approached by movie industry in the past and according to his comments it was not a good experience.

If Elric was done correctly then it would probably end up being X-rated . . . and X-rated non-pornographic movies don't make that much money at the box office.

In reality Elric movie would probably get watered down to PG-13 rating and be directed by Michael Bay so that Burger King could sell the Stormbringer Slurpees and McDonalds could sell the Strasha Happy Meal.

The problem is, there will be an assload of pressure to make Elric the movie PG-13 cus of all the dollars that'd be lost otherwise but how can a movie about Elric stay true to the story that isn't at least rated R? Gore was a big deal in the series not to mention Elric isn't your typical good guy.

@konman001 There actually is a contract to make a movie, but production just stalled. Mr. Moorcock said that he'd rather they don't make the movie at all than a studio picking the project up and doing exactly what you said.

Personally I hunger for a good Elric movie, but with such a masterpiece, things can only get extreme: they either make it epic or a total disaster.

Since I'm one of those who liked the LOTR movies (good adaptation of an epic saga), I'd really like to see an Elric movie.

@LunarEcli not friend. i'd dare to say Elric had wery few friends. he liked Count but only those that were "hero companions" he could call friends. and maybe the dragonlord , guy that was given the mournblade . the crimson warrior was a friend as well i guess. but Count? not that much of a friend than a person to trust. we might think of that as friend, in Elrics universe that is not even near friend.
