The Waking Lover (poem)

This is my absolute favorite of the sonnets I have written.

I'm posting it as a response to a video by Urgelt in which he reads Shakespeares sonnet 38 because I had never heard anyone read a sonnet so richly and slowly like that before and thought this would be a good sonnet of mine to try it on.

I don't think I captured that slow richness quite as much, but it was certainly slower and smoother than I usually read sonnets. This one has always sounded like that in my mind anyway. I'd LOVE feedback!!

P.S. Everyone should watch urgelt's video too if you like poetry. It was amazing!!

P.P.S Why oh why can I NEVER get a decent thumbnail? I feel I looked fairly decent through most of the video but it always catches me halfway through with the oddest facial expression... GRR I don't wanna resort to engineering my edits to get a better one but I might!! Lol
