  • in a way, the prancing pony scene use of rotoscoping on the people is genius. it's just like in real life if youre in a place full of people you dont know, and youre too scared to talk to anyone, and everyone is behaving strangely, you feel that unconfurtable feeling, and the way the rotoscoping translates that is genius.

  • When I originally saw this, I thought that both Merry and Pippin were freaking chicks!

  • @Chibi0Peach0Neko

it's the same with stalactits and stalacmits and hulk hogans wife and daughter...

  • I watched this like a million times when I was a kid.

  • @flyingblackboard TWAS THIER ARMPITS THAT MADE POOR MERRY PASS OUT

  • I'd pay to have the whole song uncut.

  • The lifelike animation of the people in the background? They used REAL people for that one! And that is what we call roto scoping, children! :)

  • Bakshi definitely had an interesting animation style...i cant decide whether or not i like it, its kind of cool but kind of really weird at the same time

  • Yeah, but in the book at least there were some logic to it (Frodo had his hand in his pocket). Here it just comes out of nowhere.

  • Probably the best moment of the entire movie for me.
