Do you hold that pick close to the tip? Is it a heavy gauge pick? I've watched this several times in a row tonight, by the way...

I wouldn't say I hold the pick close to the tip, more in the middle. The gauge isn't heavy at all, actually it's 0.60 mm.

Excellent! I dont know zappa much but this really good. Is it sweep picking btw?

I played it using sweep picking (can't sweep fast though). It seemed like the most convenient way to play it I think. Using alt. picking I think would be over working.
