Senior Night intros honoring 2010-11 Seniors Tyler Brenner, Sean Murphy, Mike Janda, Andrew Favot and Jan Ropponen. (sorry it's far away and shaky, but at least you can hear it.)

Transcript:
Over the last 4 seasons the Tigers have recorded an 86-42-16 overall record and are 72-23-14 in AHA play.

This group has helped lead RIT to 3 Atlantic Hockey Regular Season Championships and a storybook run to the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four while defeating perennial powers Denver and New Hampshire along the way. The Tigers have defeated 6 nationally ranked teams in this group's 4 seasons, including two wins over Cornell and Minnesota. This year RIT will be the top seed in the 2011 Atlantic Hockey Tournament with a 15-4-6 mark in conference play.

Tyler Brenner, a 3 year member of the squad, is closing in on a Division I record for goals in a career. As he is 3 shy of the mark, this season Brenner is tied for 6th nationally with 23 goals. In 2008-2009 he was named the Craig Lawson award winner as RIT's Rookie of the Year. He was also named to the AHA All-Rookie Team after recording 14 goals with 35 points in 38 games. Last season Brenner rebounded from an early season injury to score 15 goals, including 2 in the NCAA East Region Championship against New Hampshire to earn all-region honors. Brenner has 52 goals and 45 assists in 102 career games. Brenner also earned AHA All-Academic Team honors in 2009. A native of Linwood, Ontario, he will graduate in May with a degree in Business. He is the son of Brad and Shelley Brenner. Ladies and Gentlemen, number 16 Tyler Brenner.

Two year captain Sean Murphy is playing in his 139th career game tonight, 4th most at RIT. In 2008 he shared the Craig Lawson award as RIT's Rookie of the Year with Andrew Favot, finishing 4th on the team with 22 points. He recorded a career best 7 goals in 08-09 and tallied 19 points last season. This season, Murphy has 8 points in 31 games. For his career Murphy has 21 goals and 41 assists and 62 points. He's a 3 time member of the AHA All-Academic Team. A native of Owatonna, Minnesota, Murphy will graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He is the son of Dennis and Marian Murphy. Ladies and Gentlemen, number 17 Sean Murphy.

Mike Janda is playing in his 108th career game this evening. Janda has emerged as one of RIT's top penalty killers and hardest hitters. This season, Janda has a career high in 10 goals and 13 points while playing in 29 games. For his career, Janda has 25 goals and 11 assists for 36 points. He's a 3 time member of the AHA All-Academic Team. A native of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, he will graduate with a degree in Marketing. He is the son of Debbie Janda. Ladies and Gentlemen, number 23 Mike Janda.

Two year captain Andrew Favot will play in his 136th career game tonight. As a freshman, Favot shared team Rookie of the Year honors with Sean Murphy. In 08-09 Favot tallied 31 points in 33 games. Last season Favot set a Tiger Division I record with 33 assists, while having 13 goals for 46 points(second most on the squad), earning All-Atlantic Hockey Second Team honors. This season Favot leads the squad in scoring with 37 points- 12 goals, 25 assists. Since the start of his sophomore season, Favot is averaging more than a point per game. He has 40 goals, 84 assists- 124 points in his collegiate career. Favot is second all time at RIT's Division I level in assists and 3rd in points. He's a 3 time member of the AHA All-Academic Team. Favot, a native of King City, Ontario, will graduate in May with a degree in Business. He is the son of Ed and Cheryl Favot. Ladies and Gentlemen, number 28 Andrew Favot.

Jan Ropponen is a 4 year member of the squad. This season, Ropponen earned a pair of wins, including his first collegiate victory against nationally-ranked Cornell on October 30th. Ropponen has 4 games with at least 30 saves this season, including a career high 36 against Air Force. He is a 3 time member of the AHA All-Academic Team. Ropponen, a native of Espoo, Finland, will graduate in May with a degree in International Business. He is the son of Jukka and Marika Ropponen. Ladies and Gentlemen, number 40 Jan Ropponen.
