This one minute public service announcement tells the story of a regular Utahn who was out of town when she suffered a stroke. She got treatment in time and now aims to educate everyone on signs of stroke, heart health, the importance of calling 911, and gaining knowledge. She is an inspiration, and her story airs as a PSA on Utah TV stations.
Thanks for sharing,,,, I suffered a massive bleed stroke in april 2011. I lost all muscle control on my right side.. I spent 7 weeks in ICU and acute rehab. I did a month of inpatient therapy and 3 months out outpatient therapy. I regained most of the use of my hand arm and leg, and am still working to improve my walking and endurance/flexibility. I wrote a blog .. youtube blocks the links but its shottothedome dinstudio com.

@epror2 It's caused by a clot in the blood which blocks a main artery to the brain, causing a "collapse" on one side.
