My second tribute to TV producer Stephen J. Cannell, who died September 30. The 1985-87 Stingray series was about a mysterious government agent who helped people in return for a future favor. He drove a GM Stingray car and was called Ray. Played by Canadian Nick Mancuso.
In this episode The Greeter, we see how he arranges his assignments and favors. Then an exciting climax typical of the show. The greeter here is a fellow who has lost his sense in a war and stands around the streets maybe waving at cars coming into town.
Wondering where's that Vette is now??? That's a great Corvette. They should have a law to protect movie cars....

Fantastic show, great era, great style, great car, Nick Mancuso fits the show like a glove. Thanks for posting it, as I love this show!

I just heard of this show. Is this sample missing bits and pieces? Like at 7:10 when the phone call ends then it just jumps to the "outside corner man" scene which is hard to make sense out of. Production wise the best part seems to be at 2:00 to 3:00, very similar to other 80s classic like Mission Impossible (1988) and MacGuyver, there's tight technical shots and synths & bass accompanying just like both of those series after the intro. I can't get enough of that type of music.
