@twintipxhero check out hytech headers for teh 3.0 eclipse. They claim to gain 40whp with a tune. RIPP longtube headers claim 30whp gains. The exaust manifold on these cars are crazy restricted. I had a 3.0 with hytech longtube headers, CAI, exaust and tune. I never dynoed it but it felt like a completely different car than before. I dont doubt if it had 205 or so to the wheels. I also cut the weight about 400 pounds. I was pulling lengths on ls2 gto and transams. So ill say it can be done.

idk if a front wheel drive car with a big heavy v-6 at the front would be the best option for autoX. But at the end it's how good the driver is

im doing a spoiler delete on my 2003 eclipse gts. you chould check out the before an afetr vids on my profile. im ganna post another vid of it when i get it back from the shop
your all wrong no offense. yes its making 205hp but its at the crank its only putting about 175-180hp to the wheels. even with exhaust, intake and other basic bolt ons you'd be hard pressed to actually make 205. nonetheless still a fairly quick car pulls hard in low gears but understeer tends to be an issue

I am at 205 at the wheels. Headers/exhaust/intake and a ECU tune will do that for ya. You are correct, stock these are 205 at the crank. Understeer is eliminated by some nice JIC Muellerized... coilovers. This thing drives on rails now. I should upload some of my new videos since I got the JIC's.
