Does Chase HQ 2 have this music? I found an NTSC crack of it (I'm in the US), and I want to show my friend it. What other games had this loader?
-
who IS this guy who is disliking all the ocean loader videos?

@Rheinmetall1974 That does make a lot of sense yes. But then again the 80's was a decade of 2 extremes: On one hand some of the most creative, forward thinking and artistically turbulant times but marred with unpreccidented greed and truly dreadful pop music. The 90's I think was much calmer as a result of the 80's being pretty relentless meaning it was a more leisurely time to live but not as breathtaking.

Hell no, those uptempo remixes and elaborations never had the same feel to them.

omg, I remember that tune :D
Same was used on the game Freddy Hardest.
I pressed play on tape, waited till the counter
was up to 41,5 and then this tune started playing.
then I had to wait till the counter went to 121
and the game started...now I could cry ^^

@DaAznThug Yes, Contra. Gryzor was the home-computer name for Contra in Europe, and it was called Probotector on consoles.

I still hear this in my dreams...
It's amazing how all the 80's instrumental tunes from different composers are so much internally connected to each other. From Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis, to Clark, Hubbard and Galway, all these have common musical basis.
I would go even further, saying the whole 80's pop culture had a global and very distinctive style. I would describe it as confident to the new means of technology, combined with the need for sentimental expression.

Easily one of the best Sids ever made for the C64. Stunning composition.
