Since October 13th 2008, the international university of La Rioja is recognized by law as a private university, established in the community of La Rioja and characterized by distance learning.

It is a university that has the mission to facilitate the training of all people throughout their lives, providing maximum access to knowledge, so as to meet their learning needs.

UNIR is sensitive to those groups with greater difficulties to access higher education, and to enforcing the principle of equal opportunities to that purpose.

UNIR offers an educational model that is based on personalization and ongoing support to the student beyond the limitations of time and space.
