Its a very pretty... "scarf." The pattern calls it a scarf, but I call it a shawl because its a triangle and you're going to wrap it around your shoulders, not your neck.
Anyway, here is the link to the pattern:

There is just NO WAY that person knit that shawl with size 4.5 mm needles! Those eyelets are freakin' HUGE. Sorry, that's just my rant. Maybe when I finish mine and block it it will look like the one from the pattern's website.

  • P-L-E-A-S-E, share the design! Where did you find the instructions, I would love to knit a shawl for my Mom!

  • @wawannaBP I posted a link to the pattern in the info box of this vid.

I hope your mom will like it ;)

  • This is a beautiful shawl and soooo much work. I am trying to knit my first shawl and I have frogged it many, many times. I have just discovered the whole life line thing. Have you had much trouble?

    Jude

  • Thank you, it was a lot of work... but the shawl was still a little too small for her once I gave it to her. Sigh

I didn't frog any of this particular shawl and I never used a life line. This has been my only big knitting project to date so I can't say weather or not the pattern was just easy to keep track of or if I was just very attentive while making it.

  • This is really beautiful...not a "simple" stitch pattern, either. I am sure your grandmother will feel the love you put into those stitches! Exquisite work, thanks for sharing!

  • I am not an " official" knitter. I use a round kniffty knitter loom. Hey, I am left handed and have learning disabilities, and get distracted easy, zzzz...., -----see. Giggle giggle. No really, I do crochet but not much. I loved that color and the design was beautiful. I admire your talent and your patience because if my project did not move quick enough, it would end up in a drawer. I am attempting a simplistic shawl. Make two panels. One linger than the other to compensate for crocheting it

  • your work is so beautiful,I wish i could knit or crochet like that, you are talented

  • its devine.....and the yarn issue is normal, the width of the shawl in creases and uses the yardage of the ball faster......

  • So I looked at the pattern...could you do a little demo on it? that would be sweet!!

  • Is there a way for you to make a video showing how to start it? its so gorgeous i just get so confused with lace charts and how to start them

  • its beautiful. it is definitely something i would cherish!

  • @wawannaBP i want the design too

  • It's really beautiful and I will check your website for the pattern. Lucky Grandma!

  • this is soooooo beautiful! i love the patterns! your grandma will be the happiest grandma alive!!
