May 2012 be filled with as much Hope as we can muster..
"Hope" is the thing with feathers , a great little poem by Emily Dickinson and the more I read it for this...the deeper it seemed to go.I would have liked the blind to have been right down...but I walked into the kitchen one morning and it was thus. If I had pulled it down...they would have flown off !

  • Thank you for this and have a wonderful New Year's weekend! Paganini, too. This is just lovely. :)

  • @HerAeolianHarp Thanks a million...and Happy New Year..!

  • So perfect, K ... the happenstance of the part-way blind, the shadow of hope cast on reality ... even when all hope is gone, the slimmest ray of light would cast it once more ... a totally lovely video.

  • @liz1060 Thanks Liz...I have to say the imagery is lovely...an objet trouve ! happy new year.

  • ...of course he meant "without Hope" - it's Woody we're talkin' about here.

  • @gypsyjazzer D'accord !

  • What a great video. Love the effect of the birds on the feeder like shadow puppets.

  • @xyzllii Oh, good! His writing was quite an influence on me. I'm glad you like him.

  • @mnolanporter Thanks for liking...!!

  • Love it!

  • @sonofwalt I did not really know his verse...so you got me reading some last night. i like his direct un-pretentious style.

  • @xyzllii I love that you liked it! I am thinking I need to dig out some more William Stafford poems.

  • @xyzllii Thanks! I am make it very well, i think! :-)

  • @sonofwalt Gee...our messages crossed...I just sent you one.lol...Anyway...I love what you wrote here because it pithily hits the spot of what creativity is about...not technique...tho some skill is required...but that other factor...described so well above. k

  • @xyzllii Well, there is something that William Stafford once said about poets, which I think is true of artists in general, it had to do with not necessarily genius so much as being tuned into some process, nature, the universe, call it what you will, and being able to tap into that greater thing already going on, and then let it flow out through your unique style and voice. I know it's a bit more mystical than I like, but I do like the thought of it.

  • @steffproductions Thanks Steff....x ;))
