City of Arlington, TX Siren Test, May 3,2011. Stationed at Siren 41. Test was good. First test is with electricity, second is battery back up. The voices being heard is the HAM Radio Net that Arlington holds for the test so the OEM can have immediate test results, you can hear the reports outside the car on my HT, a Wouxun KG-UVD1P Dual Bander, I made my reports from the mobile rig in the car, Yaseu FT-2600M. I was out in the boonies of Arlington for this Siren station, hence the static in my audio report. For anyone that wants to participate or listen, you need to tune to 147.140MHz with a PL tone of 110.9Hz. What was odd about this particular test was, if you listen to the wind up of the battery test, which is the second test @ 8:52, then you can hear the seperate windups of the 5 sirens that are all with in range of dB levels. To the better of my knowledge, the battery tests, just like the AC test, should kick off all at the same time. Guess it is something for the OEM to look at.
