Actually CRTs are useful because they don't have fixed resolutions and don't scale images. That alone makes them useful for older pre-HD media and most game consoles. They also don't suffer from the many problems that LCDs STILL suffer today. Not only that there have been MANY CRTs (such as the Trinitron G520 I'm using) that do ridiculous resolutions and have higher picture quality and instant response times than ANY other display type.

Cool vintage TV. I have a 1979 Sony MEGA Watchmen portable analog TV. It still works, but I don't use it. It's only analog. =(
