I love these. They make me think of hollowbody Esquires.

@AMERICANBUS god i miss mine sooooooo much ...i bought one in winter of 2008 at naam show and sold it that following spring for half what i paid because i wanted this car really bad and at the time i had 2 gretchs and several guitars but i could not for the life of me drive any of them to work,so...sadly someone had to go and at the time i was desperate and boy do i regret that ...i miss her all the time, more than any thing i miss the smell, out of the case fresh woody sweet red poly smell mmmmm

AMERICANBUS great review, just one question does the tone switch split the humbucker so its emulating a bridge pickup, both pickups then a neck pickup, also is it too trebley?..
-
Would you say this might be a good guitar for punk/ pop/punk stuff? I want a guitar that feeds back quick so that part is not an issue

Good review. Nice mix of playing and talking. Gets across the tech details, and we get to hear all the sounds of the guitar.
Thankyou! I will have to keep an eye out for this guitar, but I don't fancy my odds of finding one because I'm in Australia. I doubt they ever sold them in Australia brand new.

Cool guitar. Here's a vote for making a second video with more playing and less talking ;)

great tone!
hi..no...it doesn't split nothing,,,,it just gives a slight treble cut one way and a little more treble cut other way....in middle it does nothing..,.,,...it does not produce mud like the older gretsch switches do....thanks for writing,.!!

You played SOUL SERENADE by Willie Mitchell!
I haven't played that since 1968!
Thanx for the memory!
