Congrats on finding your birthfamily!!! My birthmom found me, and I found my birthdad 6 months later! While it can be hard and emotionally draining, it is a great experience!!! I am sure you enjoy every minute you are together!

It's better to write a letter. Fortunately, it seems this phone call turned out okay.
But really, it is a whole lot better, if adoptees can send a letter first. This way, the person on the receiving-end of the phone call, isn't put on the spot and sent in to total SHOCK...
Plus, what if other family members were in the room, that didn't know about a child put up for adoption, many, many years earlier.
Again, send a letter if possible (first)

Im about to maybe start searching. However Im in Australia and she is in Colombia. But Thanks I just watched some really negative posts so kudos for the posativity.

An amazing story. You were very brave to make the call and film it. Did you have additional contact with your birth parents and your sibling? You do look like your parents. Thanks for sharing. Your video actually came up as related next to a video where someone had posted a lot of anti-adoption comments, so your story really balanced that out.

@TubingTubby thanks so much for your kind reply! i'm in close touch with my birthfamily and i now have a little brother, kai, AND a little sister, zavia. it's wild how much my mom and birthmom look alike. after posting this video online i got a lot of responses that were very negative towards adoption. i know that there are happy stories like mine out there and i hope that people hear them too. please send me the link to the video that linked you to this if you get a moment. thanks again!
