This song came out in the late 60s and was played a number of times on WJRZ in the New York-New Jersey area! It was one of Elton's last two charting songs!

@concord39 Sorry, I replied several times thinking it wasn't responding. I hope these can be deleted. (Red face here...)

@concord39 The original version of this song is 7min 10sec long, it was edited down to this shortened version which is the version usually heard. I originally heard the long version on BBC Radio 2 in 1980, I'd never heard of Elton Britt before, but from that moment I was really hooked on him. About three months after hearing him on the radio I came across his 1969 album: 'The Jimmie Rodgers Blues' on RCA Camden (Stereo CAS-2295 RE) - 11 sublime tracks, including the unedited version of JRB.
Great Song But It's Not The Whole Song It's A partial. Would It Be Possible To Do The Complete Song?

Sorry, this is the only version I have. Do you mean that there is a longer version.
I live in Sweden and Elton Britt is very unknown here so I was very glad when I find this song.
But I hope you can find the longer version somewhere.

I first heard this song by Elton Britt on the Bill Mack Show on WBAP 880 AM in Dallas back in the 80s. I fell in love with it then and there, but didn't hear it again for 25 years. Like the other posts, I never forgot it. Thanks to satellite radio, I FINALLY heard it again. Halleluiah! Thank YOU so much for sharing with us on YouTube! It's fabulous! Elton Britt also sang "There's a Star Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere." You don't hear much of his other songs. Wasn't he great at yodeling?

Thank you, I´m glad you like it.
I´m living in Sweden and Elton is not well known here but I got by sheer coincidence to hear one of his songs on the radio for maybe 20 years ago. Then I got hold of an LP of him and the way it is.
A very good YODELLER he is.
