Little research has been done to understand how investments in girls impact economic growth and the health and the well being of communities. This lack of data reveals how pervasively girls have been overlooked. For millions of girls across the developing world, there are no systems to record their birth, their citizenship, or even their identity. However, the existing research suggests their impact can reach much farther than expected. Visit http://www.care.org/ to learn more and find out how you can get involved.

Sth that strikes me not only about this video but also about other areas of life: so many things are argued on an economical basis, which is to some extent justified and understandable. But one thing that strikes me is that this also happens with things that could be argued on another basis (like in this case: the mere wellbeing of human beings, in this case women)

Hi Mone, in this video, CARE and the Girl Effect are merely demonstrating one aspect of how empowering girls can impact the whole world. Of course, the well-being and dignity of all humans is our number one priority.

The jaded/negative comments from people who doubtless live in the first world and have the benefits of education and stable societies are saddening. However, that there are people working to improve the lives of those in the developing/third world is inspiring. Think if instead of tearing each other down more people spent their time helping their fellow man. Hm!

Ok i think what all of you guys is missings is the realisation that this clip isn't about feminism or anything like that and its not sexist. The simple fact is that in countries like Africa girls don't have equal rights to men. They are lower class citizens, they have less right for and education and hardly any say into their futures. There part of the vicious cycle of poverty and this clip simply shows what a big change can be made by a small chain of events

Love this video - definitely one of our favourites, and every word, so true. Just have to make it a feasible reality...Here's to everyone out there working hard to make the girl effect a truth, and not just a hope.

Birthrate of countries ruled by feminism is at about an average of 1.2. Yes let's keep pushing this agenda worldwide, cause extinction is clearly in our best interest.

Unscientific but just words.... I have studied dozens materials on that topic - actually no one can prove that the world would be better if girls rule the world.

What's eve more sad about this is that most people here are watching this for its good motion graphic quality and not the actual subject. Good typographic treatment! Yayyyy.
Loving the music, btw. Reminds me of Amelie. Eye + Ear Candy = solves all problems.
