Millenium Hotel Fire Alarm

While at NYC (Nazarene Youth Conference) in St. Louis last week our hotel's fire alarm was set off at around midnight. We found out later that a sprinkler in someone's room randomly popped and flooded their room. We first got stuck at the stairway closest to our room but it became clogged when everyone else tried to use it then we found another stairway and got right out.

in a fire alarm why are the people waiting for a lift they say dont use a lift when there is a fire u have legs use then to go down the stairs !!!

In the description I said people were waiting to go down the stairs. Nobody actually tried to use the elevators, just the stairwells which happened to be pretty clogged.

No kidding. LOL@ those people who wait for the elevator!! Elevators do NOT work when a fire alarm sounds. The elevators default to the main floor and disable themselves by the alarm system for safety reasons. :P

just like what happen here in millenium airport hotel dubai last month, one african girl press the fire alarm thinking that that was an bottom for elevator for going down, the building got fire alarm and all guest was get outside and panic..... false alarm

when we were at the beach also we drove by a hotel and there alarms were going off everyone in there got in there cars and left the hotel why i do not know

speeking of this i was in a hotel at the beach and i had a float in my hands and stuck it up to the smoke alarm and all the alarms just beeped once but nothing hapned but a beep

the other day ago the fire alarm at a hard cafe i was at went off, scared the crap out of me and the waiter, nothing happened, just some kid pulled it. There is a rare John Lennon TV in that place, if the fire was real  I would have saved that thing! xD
