One of his first priority, while in America, was to talk to the victims who were sexually abused by priests and religious members.

@michelsonluke If you can't read, I'll stop responding. I never said anything like "pedophilia is universally performed by all priests". Read it again, or have someone you know read it to you. Then have them read you the facts from Wikipedia, which substantiate what I said. Then try responding.

@patrickomalleyy So, not being stupid, you just admitted that pedophilia is universally performed by all priests. That is a stupid thing to say. Not all priests are pedophiles. Actually very few are, and they are not a natural progression within priesthood, but a group of men who never should have been allowed to become priests in the first place. During a time of change for the Church, there are many priests who do not belong to the ministry but were allowed because standards were lowered.

@michelsonluke I'm not stupid. I read the facts. Thousands and thousands of children have admitted to abuse by Catholic priests, and there are thousands more that never admitted it. The church, as an institution, tried to squelch the situation, and moved the priests to other parishes, where they became repeat offenders. They ignored the laws of the USA, and the laws of humanity, because they were trying to protect their reputation.

"One Man's sins"? Thousands, enable by the institution.
