Beautiful exceptional harmony of voice and instrumentals. An expression of loyalty and faith. The singer is basically stating that despite tough times, they'll make it through together. The listener is down, his/her eyes running wild throughout nights that are woven and repetitive. The seasons come in, and the singer is saying that he hears him/her all night long, every night, and if he/she just holds his hand, together they'll make it through no matter what. (This is one interpretation.)

@unicorn2005 I am sorry you saw him on what you perceived was a bad night. Can you imagine being required to go out and be in a good mood every night? Sounds like you took it personally. I have never felt anything but humility coming from the guy whenever I have seen him live, and I have my ticket to tomorrow's Fillmore show! Though some feel justified, we need to give these guys who give so much of themselves night after night, a break.

@unicorn2005 I saw Peter last night in Seattle and he was gracious and charming as he always has been when I've seen him.

I love this song but I went to see him live for the first time in my life at the paramount in Huntington NY, and he was very rude without a reason to the crowd that only showed love to him, everybody was very dissapointed. I'll never will pay again to see Peter live, it was a total waste of money.
