How to change motorbike cruiser forks seals and oil the easy way. I couldn't change the fork seals on my bike the normal way by pulling them completely apart as they just would not come apart for me. So I tried it the easy way by using hydraulic pressure and pushing the seal out. This worked like a charm and each fork seal was changed in 60 or so minutes. This should be practically the same job for most cruiser forks and many others. The only draw back with this method is that you cant examine the internal parts of the fork.

  • hello, wanted to know how your bike rode afterwards? did the suspension seem ok or did you have any trouble with it after? You didn't drain the oil at all before taking the top cap off?

  • @maadpunk The bike rides fine, no problems at all. The oil is drained through the top pf the fork after the cap is removed and then refilled with ordinary engine oil to allow for hydraulic pressure build up. Thanks Mirek

  • why would you bother? More dangerous and expensive than doing it the proper way!

  • @micknmaggie couldnt get it to come of the propper way.

  • You cut off right before it burst & sprayed oil all over everyone. Dang!

  • @two45triox Yeah thats what I thought would happen too.... but its as you see it. NO oil came out until I pulled it apart at the bench.

  • @thesykboy Thanks, I did not resuse this oil as it was pretty dirty but I guess I could have filtered it. Might do so next time.

  • Great video! I have to know if you were able to reuse the oil you put into the fork or if you trashed it? If you trashed it, it seems like a huge waste of good oil!
