Amelia -- Nora York with the painter Jerry Kearns

This is a new song Amelia, inspired by Amelia Earhart that is the title song for a new theatrical project titled A Long Way Home. inspired by this painting by Jerry Kearns --
it is the newest of my new song/video projects.

With The Amazing Band -- Jamie Lawrence at the helm producing this music -- and at the piano, Steve Tarshis on guitar, Dave Hofstra on bass and Peter Grant on drums.


A Long Way home will take the form of a fictional memoir; the singer/character recalling multiple lifetimes as she searches and longs for home. The piece begins with an imagined Amelia Earhart -- flying alone in a small plane, lost somewhere over the Pacific Ocean. Through the expanse Amelia begins to dream a series of song "memories."
