This is the first part of a new series of videos. I am talking about the path I took to atheism. This video is more of just me becoming an atheist. Future videos, however, will be discussing obstacle, discrimination, and isolation I face as an atheist. Also I will go into detail about various religions I have studied.

  • (cont) i still havent came out as an atheist, i want to share my story on youtube but i will probably make another channel to do it and do an audio without my face.

  • @anavywife28 Though I would prefer you not to make a video without showing your true identity, I highly encourage you to come out as an atheist.

  • @anavywife28 I agree. Just coming out at all is liberating. down thee road, the idea of showing your face will be less threatening

  • @MarquellGarrett I will be shunned by my peers as well as my family. Their roots are so deeply rooted into my childhood church that it sort of disgusts me. My sister is a pastor, my mother is an usher and my dad is the first one present at church every sunday to make sure the church is in order. You see where Im going with this.... its just not in my best interest:(

  • Wow, u have a powerful life story, i also had to get on my knees and pray whenever i went to my grannys house. My knees hurt too. Ur story sorta sounds just like every other black home. I wish i was 14 when i started searching, u were a smart kid and u are just as smart now....i am sorry ur mother died. I'm glad you examined ur faith because it really is freedom

  • Wow that sucks you had to go through all that. I didn't have many friends when I was a kid either and I went to CCD on Wednesday and church every Sunday but other then that my mom never forced me to pray. This makes my deconversion seem like I just went to the store and got some ice cream.
