STREET SINGER, not the one with Sehgal's songs

but a later title made in the 60s. Chandarshekhar plays a ordinary street singer who finds fame in England and then back in

India.

suraj was actually shankar from shankar jaiskishan, i believe we only saw him use the false name Suraj just once for this film street singer.. rafi is awesome as usual

Are you sure it is suraj ? This music is SJ as I remember it, and it does sound like other SJ songs.

in old days, murGha will be served in the house only when some special guest would arrive coz it was quite expensive. so, any1 who was rich enuf to have murGha everyday then he would soon loose all the charm and then he would prefer daal...did i help u?
