From a 2004 Democracy Now interview with Utah Phillips. In this clip he talks about his first meeting with Ammon Hennacy, and how he was convinced to embrace non-violence. Ammon Hennacy was a member of the Catholic Workers Union and the I.W.W. (th...e Wobblies), and he ran the Joe Hill hospitality house in Salt Lake City. Utah Phillips spoke often about the need to seek out your elders and learn what you can from them. For anyone struggling to find inspiration or guidance as a peace activist, Ammon Hennacy is a figure worth paying close attention to. "You've got to go into the world disarmed" - Ammon Hennacy
