*Almost* as funky as the HNIC theme, Dolores Claman's "Theme From Ontario Place" sadly isn't heard too much anymore. This came off a scratchy 45, which also has a slower, more pensive version on the B-side. Footage comes from a really cool Ontario Place promo film which used to air on CFTO in the early hours... the first portion of which can be seen on the WNED17 Youtube channel.
Here's to 40 years of Ontario Place. Let the festivities begin!!!

I'm afraid to admit I had the 45 transferred to CD a few years ago. I also have the soundtrack to A Place to Stand and of the Ontario Bi-Centennial on the same CD. The piece sounds different on the record than the video shown.
As far as the comment about IMAX films being released on DVD/Blu-Ray, many of the titles from there have been released already. Yes there are many that haven't been released, however this isn't the fault of Ontario Place IMAX, they don't own the films.

@CanadaguyRudey I remeber this commercial back in 1971. They do a lot of Canada in the USA being Amricans like to go there

@alphadea ....being sung by a bunch of folks age 14 & under. The last shot in this few-minutes movie (WHICH--I will now presume--was filmed around when Ontario Place first opened) was a "going away" shot of a whole bunch of under-14s on the top of all the pods.(They seemed to have filled the whole space up there.) I seem to remember the cameraman (woman?) being transported (perhaps in a helicopter) in an easterly direction, from the pods.Does anyone else here recall seeing this movie?

@alphadea I should also state that (sometime circa 1974) I recall seeing in (I presume it was here) one of the three theatres inside one of the pods ( these would be the ones that [in the 70s] featured slide shows such as "A is for Azilda";or some interactive-type exhibit called "Reflections"]) a (perhaps no more than) few-minutes-movie showing a whole bunch of people age14 & under running/walking etc. through Ontario Place;and also hearing this Ontario Place theme song (to be cont.)

@alphadea I personally do not have a video of this;BUT before I read your posting I had (accidentally) forgotten the name of that (for lack of a better description) "entertainment attraction" that was inside one of the pods.(Unless I am mistaken, this mock clock was in operation from circa 1974 to circa 1979.)And before coming across this (and the other) You Tube posting of this song,I had presumed that the only version of this song was one that a bunch of under-14s sang...

Would I be correct in stating that not all of the men & women who sang on this version of the song sang on the version that is in Parkwaymania's posting? (But-I presume-Jerry Toth arranged & conducted both versions?)

I agree, the Government of Ontario doesn't care about Ontario Place anymore. It could care less what happens to it. It looks like a ghost town ghetto now.
One thing the Gov could do to possibly generate some income is taking those wonderful IMAX films that you can only see at Ontario Place, and putting them out on DVD or Blu Ray. That will generate some income, but they don't care about that. They take the taxpayers money and hand it over to their friends. :(

We had a sailboat you could see the berth at 1:27. Best days of my life. They've killed Ontario Place.

@CanadaguyRudey Ontario Place is dead. Even the administration admits it. Thanks to the Government of Ontario.

Wow - I remember singing this as a kid!
I think was the theme that the "Mock Clock" used to play. Anyone out there have video of that?

Can you make a version with just the second version.
Love to MP3 that.
Boogaloo in Ontario!!!!!!!

Ontario place is not as fun as it was back in the 70's

I remember those seemingly random old promotional films that aired around or before 6 AM on CFTO way back when.
